A board game based on Elden Ring is currently under development, including dice-free combat and a world that progressively develops. This adaptation, Elden Ring The Board Game, is meant for one to four players and will be released via Kickstarter. Steamforged Games are developing it, the studio behind Dark Souls: The Board Game.

The FromSoftware game attracted a fan base who adored its intense combat and attractive, terrifying setting. The game fans will play the game with friends in person with the announcement of a new board game.

“The new board game has a vast, sprawling world of decaying grandeur that unfolds through your exploration,” the website wrote. “You’ll embark on a huge and varied adventure, visiting iconic locations and crossing paths with familiar enemies and characters.”

It is not apparent if this is a co-op experience or more competitive. According to the official press release, the Elden Ring board game requires players to strategize and alter their plans throughout each encounter, whether a lowly Godrick Soldier or the Grafted King himself. It also boasts dice-free combat.

Fans can anticipate a mysterious, vividly detailed tabletop world filled with danger, intense battle, and rewarding exploration. “Prepare to lose hours to this game, and to be glad about it,” Steamforged co-founder and chief creative officer Matt Hart said.

The Board Game’s depiction of Margit has already been released, and miniatures are also planned to be included. However, there is no official release window at this time.

The other day, FromSoftware was already hiring for a few new projects it is working on. The company announced the new openings via Twitter with a link that leads to the FromSoftware website. The banner image on the website shows Sekiro, Elden Ring, and the somewhat surprising Armored Core.
